There is a new version of Google Analytics coming (see link). But, does it solve the personal data issue that European Data Regulators identified (see link)?
1. It stops using IP addresses.
2. I don't think it will stop using an analytics ID number because such an ID is core to the analytics system.
Thus, the new Google Analytics would still face issues.
