The Marriott hotel chain might want to take a few minutes to understand its data, and how to protect it.


In 2018, they announced a data breach that affected up to 500 million guests.


In 2020, they announced a second data breach that affects 5.2 million guests.


And, in 2022, they announced a third data breach affecting an unknown number of individuals' personal data. But, the number of affected individuals may be large as the hackers took about 20 gigabytes of data (link 1, link 2).
