Another fraudulent trademark filing agency in trouble

Earlier, I had blogged about the USPTO issuing an Order to Show Cause to a Chinese trademark filing operation based on suspicious behavior.
Well, the USPTO has done it again. In November 2021, the USPTO issued an Order to Show Cause challenging a trademark filing operation based in Pakistan. The Order claims that the trademark filings were submitted “from IP addresses corresponding to an internet service provider in Karachi, Pakistan”, and that the operation engaged in “an egregious scheme to deceive and defraud applicants for federal trademark registrations by improperly altering official USPTO correspondence, overcharging application filing fees, misappropriating the USPTO’s trademarks, and impersonating the USPTO”. It shall be interesting to see if they respond.
