Last year, I wrote about Accelion and its data breach that affected its customers who were using its file transfer service product to share large or sensitive documents. Accelion just settled a nationwide class action for $8.1 million (see Reuters link). While this settlement resolves disputes between Accelion and its customers, its customers still face pending lawsuits from their clients. It shall be interesting to see whether the customers are able to involve Accelion in those lawsuits.
