OLED displays - the bottleneck
Everyone wants them. Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) displays in their smart phones. They have better color reproduction. They use less power. They are thinner. They are flexible. However, there appears to be one big problem. No one can make enough of them.
According to a report (see link to Bloomberg), one company -- Canon Tokki Corp -- is single-handledly responsible for making most of the machines used to make OLED displays in smart phones. And, if the report is correct, they only make about 10 such machines a year, and that is a bottleneck.
