How much worse can things get for Equifax in the wake of its data breach that could have affected approximately 143 million Americans -- or about 1/2 of the population of the United States (see link 1, link 2, link 3).
Well, it turns out that Equifax's overseas operations aren't much better (see link to Krebs). Its Argentinian operations were using one of the most easily guessed username / password combinations to an online portal to manage credit report disputes. And, it gets worse. Once in the site, you could view the other employees' passwords because they were in plain text files. And, you could also view the hundreds of disputes filed by Argentinians including their equivalent of a Social Security Number because those were stored in plain text files.
