PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Park specializes in representing clients with intellectual property, corporate, and entertainment needs. He has represented branded pharmaceutical companies, manufacturing businesses, financial service providers, writers, actors, fashion bloggers, photographers and interior designers in litigation, corporate transactions, negotiations, and obtained and protected his clients' intellectual property.

Mr. Park is an alumnus of two well-respected New York City law firms: Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. At these firms, Mr. Park represented a number of clients in their litigations. His notable accomplishments include: the successful representation of the pharmaceutical companies Takeda Chemical Industries, Abbott Laboratories and Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. in their respective litigations against generic pharmaceutical companies Oakwood Laboratories, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Andrx Laboratories; CAMP, when it was sued for allegedly infringing Gulfstream's copyrights in aircraft maintenance manuals; and Unilin, when it was sued for allegedly infringing Akzenta's patent covering floorboard installation instructions.

Mr. Park has experience with a wide range of trademarks, copyrights, patent prosecution, and trade secret matters. He has counseled clients concerning proposed trademarks; performed trademark clearances; registered trademarks in the US and internationally; counseled clients concerning domain name disputes involving the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) and the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA); registered copyrights; managed an international copyright ownership dispute; negotiated and drafted trademark and copyright license agreements concerning computer software; prepared patentability, non-infringement, validity, and freedom to operate opinions; and prosecuted U.S. patent applications and oversaw foreign patent prosecution.

Mr. Park has experience with US and international data privacy and security matters. He has advised clients concerning compliance with US federal and state data privacy and security laws and regulations (such as US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), California "Shine the Light" Law, Massachusetts data security regulation) and compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU e-Privacy Directive; drafted website legal notices such as privacy notices, cookie notices and terms of use; and established information security programs.

Mr. Park has experience with a broad range of corporate transactions. He has advised clients concerning the formation of their business; prepared business formation documents, investment documentation, and employment agreements; drafted, negotiated and advised on contracts, employment disputes, and business disputes; performed due diligence upon potential acquisition targets; and provided clients with opinions concerning their business activities.
