Daylight Saving Time will end on Sunday in the US

On Sunday, November 4th, the U.S. will end daylight saving time (DST). Thus, the number of hours between the U.S. and Europe will revert to the standard number of six (6) hours. For example, 9am New York will be 3pm Zurich, Switzerland. #DST

Lobster

To anyone who has eaten a Maine lobster in the USA, there is something not quite correct about this image. Did you figure it out? The claws and body are too thin. This crustacean is called a langoustine, and it is a type of lobster. It just isn't the one you are used to seeing and eating. #trademark #iceland

This is most prominent in areas such as Atlantic City, New Jersey where the “newly opened” Hard Rock and Ocean casinos are searching forways to attract the younger “gam

Be Careful of Background Images

In August, I discussed a case where where the US Postal Service was found to have infringed the copyright in a replica of the Statue of Liberty (see link). This month, we discuss a case where the National Rifle Association of America included a famous sculptural work -- the Cloud Gate -- in the background of one of its television advertisements. The problem for the NRA is that they never sought permission from the sculptor, Anish Kapoor, to use his sculpture in their advertisement. When Mr. Kapoor requested that the NRA stop using his sculpture, they refused. The unlawful use of the sculpture in the advertisement led Mr. Kapoor to sue the NRA for copyright infringement (Kapoor v. National
